Welcome to the Application for Admission to the Sofaer International MBA at Tel Aviv University. In order for your application to be considered, you must fully complete the application forms and submit the required additional requirements by the appropriate deadline. Each application element can be submitted at a separate time. However, for an applicant to be considered eligible for admission, all aspects of the application must be submitted by the appropriate application deadline.  We encourage students to familiarize themselves with Sofaer’s Admission Criteria before beginning their application.


Application Deadlines

First Application Deadline: February 1, 2012
*Applicants can request their application be evaluated between deadlines. To do so applicants must submit a formal request that includes the proposed date of application submission. This date is final. Second rushed application requests are not permitted.


Second Application Deadline: May 1, 2012

*Applicants can request an application extension.   To do so applicants must submit a formal request that includes the proposed date of application submission. This date is final. Second application extension requests are not permitted.


Rolling Applications
Following our Second Application Deadline applicants may apply for Rolling Admission to the Sofaer International MBA.  Applicants will be assessed as they complete their applications.  Please keep in mind that space in the program is very limited.


Application for Admission

Applicants can save their work and return to edit their application at a later date.  Applications are considered complete when Section 1 (General Application), Section 2 (Case Analysis) and all Additional Requirements have been submitted.  Applications that are not complete by the application deadline will not be evaluated. To avoid the accidental loss of material we strongly advise you to save your work in a separate document before inputting your information into each section of the application.


Section 1 – General Application

All of the following steps take place within Sofaer’s General Application (accessed with username and password).


Steps:

1. Access the General Application via TAU International’s Student Portal
2. Create a Profile
3. Select Apply to a Program and choose the Sofaer International MBA
4. Complete the Application Form. Note that to save your information all required fields must be filled out. Once saved, applicants can return to this section of the application to edit their information before the application deadline.
5. Proceed to Program and Admission Management to complete your general application (accessed via the top menu bar).  Note this section allows you to edit and complete the following:

a) Personal Profile
b) Application Form
c) Application Fee – All applications for admission must be accompanied by a USD 100 application fee. This fee can be paid online by credit card via the General Application. Payment can also be made via wire transfer or personal check. d) Recommendations – Writers of recommendation can also send their recommendations to imba@post.tau.ac.il.  In addition to the recommendation letter template, the Sofaer International MBA also accepts free-formed letters of recommendation.  Note that writers of recommendation must include their contact information within their letter of recommendation.  Letters of recommendation should be submitted in PDF format.

d) Transcripts – A transcript is a record of all the courses you took during your academic studies and the grades you received. It should be issued on official university paper and have an official seal or stamp from the university.  If your transcripts are not issued in Hebrew or English, please also include an official translation.

Section 2 - Case Analysis

In this section you are asked to complete a strategic analysis of a company or organization with which you are familiar. You may pick a company or organization that you know well, or one in which you have worked with in the past.  Learn more about the Case Analysis with Sofaer’s Admission Director.


Section 3 - Professional History

CV’s must be uploaded in PDF format.


Additional Requirements

For an application to be complete it must also include the following components.

  • Official GMAT or GRE score reportGMAT/GRE submission details
  • Official Interview – Select applicants will be asked to partake in an official interview. This interview may be conducted in person, over the phone or via Skype. The Sofaer International MBA reserves the right to request additional interviews.
